This life is not a shameless waste.

Define gullible: Geelongs entire macho wog populace. Incredibly interesting how a simple mention of any sort of celebrity status can change a personality/demeanor. From a complete negative to offers to purchase drinks. Shots even! All it takes is a reference about making it into the triple j hottest 100 and acts of kindness come flooding in. I guess it was a semi-reasonable night. Catching up with a bunch of old friends I rarely see these days in a lame club can’t be all that bad can it? I did get to sit in the “supposed” VIP section. Eliminating the need to make an effort to dance. I’m positive I could not have danced as well as the lad dancing next to me anyway. He had his groove on. I now lay in bed, a very hung over man after three nights of slurred words, tarmac surfing and enhanced confidence (I also noticed the incline in blokey/yobbo chatter). I definitely need a rest now. DVDs and hot chocolate. GO! That movie is rad.

End rant.

ramble. oh dear.

Oh so isn't 2008 just the best! I am having a blast, greatest time ever. Not really though. I am definitely in need of some major partying. A move! Something. I cannot believe that I am to turn 21 soon! Gargh. And I’d rather see it pass by without anybody noticing. Also! I seem to be the unluckiest lad on earth! I am still yet to see one ounce of luck this year. I walked under a ladder over 50 times today just to spite the fact that I have had zero luck. I still ended up blowing blue stuff out of my nose by the end of the day! Anyway, ENOUGH of the melancholic bullshit. I’ve really been having a great time with some great people of late. With copious amounts of alcohol induced crazy shenanigans. Leaving me in such an unresponsive condition/mood the next day. More interesting and likeable than usual really.

I have soooo many things I want to do! Sovereign hill, Melbourne Zoo, reunite myself with continuous back-to-back Melbourne outings, get to Germany, among other things (not really in a revealing mood). BAH!

Mid-ramble I have decided to write a sort of memoirs on myself.

My name is Tait. I am almost 21. I am single and am not really fazed about this. I have tried so many different careers that my resume resembles that of a 40 year olds. (Metaphor time!) I wear armour and hold a shield, only to remove said armour and shield when I am about to be defeated. I do not wield a sword, nor any other weapon (I’m not sure more than one person will understand this). I currently live with my parents, they are great. I am the king of embarrassing situations, doing idiotic things and being awkward. Thank god some people can cope with it. It actually is not intentional, as much as I would like it to be. I try so very hard to be conversable with. I really do. I constantly adjust my hair. I have not really done anything significant with my life as of yet. I plan on having something entertaining to read when strangers walk by my tombstone. My job sounds fantastic, it is trivial at best. I do enjoy some aspects of it. I try not to voice my opinion, nobody want’s to hear other people’s opinions as much as they say they do.

That is unfortunately all I can think of right now sorry. Plus I’m kind of fatigued. I might just go to bed. Sleeping is wonderful. Oh maybe I should write a list of things I dislike and like. That could be fun.

Like:
Sushi.
Nandos.
Drives.
Unattainable Crushes.
Binge Drinking.
Mid-work emails from Britters about things only we find funny.
Hugs.
The idea of something going my way.
Playing instruments.
Lying in bed doing nothing.
Stretching in bed.
Rain when I am inside.
Starving.
My aunties
Reliable friends.

Dislike:
Geelong.
Being lazy.
Being bored.
Rain when I am outside.
Waking up to unrecollectable (so obviously not a word) stories of lame things.
Compliments.
Having no mobile.
Going out when my hair is not perfect.

Now I am going to bed. 7:30pm.

Winston Churchill.

Winston Churchill once said “if you’re going through hell, keep on going”.

My Eventful Today.

Oh so today I spent in Melbourne. Upon arrival we ventured to the NGV. There was something rather nice pieces that I enjoyed in the European section of the gallery. I cannot recall the artist, but a painting of a rather melancholic girl holding a pink flower was possibly the highlight of my art adventures. She just looked so miserable, as if all had failed, as if no more could go wrong. Brilliant really. There was also an exhibition on 80’s clothing. It was not very impressive at all.
After we had stumbled around the NGV for a couple of hours, we decided to head towards some Hare Krishna. Much to my disgust, both places we tried were closed. Tragic. Instead we wandered around looking for somewhere else to eat, deciding to make a stop off at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. We viewed a couple of documentaries, which were actually half decent much to my disbelief! One was on an outer suburbs Sydney family. Overrun with misfortunes and criminal activity. The second was a documentary on a haunted house in a secluded country town. Very interesting actually.
Realising I was dying from a lack of food. We ended up at the Blue Train. It was like a busy elevator! You could not move! My caesar salad was by far the greatest caesar salad I have ever consumed. Definitely worth the wait.

Also, on a different note. I am incredibly excited.

A documentary on a precocious ingrate (Into The Wild).

I am baffled by the recent portrayals through film of societies disobedient and down right immoral. Some incredibly significant films have come from the idea of sympathising with these individualities. My most recent example would be Into The Wild. A really beautiful film when viewing it the second time (less intoxicated)! Emotionally uplifting even! But! How significantly paradoxical of him, taking such a tool of civilisation as a gun into the wild to slay those wild animals. ALSO! This whole symbolic burning of the cash. Surely passing it along to Oxfam with his $24,000 life savings would have been the intellectual approach. An the sudden termination of communication with his family! Does anybody not see what I am talking about! Again, don’t get me wrong. What a emotively empowering film.

What next though? A documentary on a man whose continuous use of auto-erotic asphyxiation that eventually leads to his death? Somehow making the audience sympathetic to his condition? Bah! I just do not understand.

Although I am anticipating this film greatly, I almost have a sort of stigma on The Killing of John Lennon. Are they going to swing the audience so to sympathise his situation/condition also!?!?!?

I am just envious of the magnitude of their actions no doubt.

Over and out children.
